Leading the way in the Digital Age

Although we here at Giorgio Dental pride ourselves on our 20 plus year history and our traditional, family oriented approach to producing dental prosthesis, we have always recoignised and promoted the importance of innovation to the Dental Industry. Our staff are always encouraged to think laterally and innovate on a daily basis and be constantly striving for improvement in their techniques and approaches to even the most menial of tasks.

Industry leading innovations such as the Giorgio Sectional Bridge® and the GIO.BRUX™ Monolithic Zirconia Crown were thought up because of this mindset. The GSB was invented almost 20 years ago when a patient refused to wear a denture and challenged George to find another way. So he did and this fantastic product is now a mainstay and important option for clientele all over Australasia. Read more about it here.

More recently, our Laboratory applied for a technology grant from Small Business Victoria’s IMT (Investing in Manufacturing Technology) program. We were successful and funds have been awarded towards the purchase and installation of a new scanner and CAD-CAM machine. This contribution is a fantastic affirmation of Giorgio Dental’s standing in innovative dentistry with a view to a fully Digitised process where physical impressions will be a thing of the past.

Victorian Manufacturing Minister, David Hodgett, spoke at the presentation of the grant, “As the hub of Australia’s manufacturing industry, Victorian industry must continue to increase investment in new technology and innovation in order to remain globally competitive.”

This addition has certainly added another dimension to our already impressive suite of technology and therefore capability in servicing clientele all over Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

The Moreland Business Newsletter covered the State Government award in its Winter Issue. Read it here.

Should you have any questions about our technology or perhaps some advice regarding your own Intraoral scanning options and 3D Dentistry, please feel free to call the Laboratory on 03 93867900 to speak to George Thalassinos or Sam Thalassinos.
